May 29: Data Warehouse / BI Community

For anyone with specific experience and interest in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence issues, here's your chance to build up that community a little. Mark Rittman's looking for more people to get involved with the forum he runs.

I'm in no position to lecture anyone about community involvement, but I would have thought it was in your interests to get involved, otherwise you could end up being (horror of horrors) a 'straight DBA'. (C) Peter Scott, 2006.

A small update on this. I tried to register for the forum to answer one of the questions but found that Mark didn't verify my account. I emailed him and it turns out he's not been getting the account verification emails.

Perhaps that's why there aren't more contributors ;-)
