Oh, and this is just great! I just found myself nodding in agreement all the way through and it's the reason I insist on containing an apparently fluffy first chapter in the course I teach, which just talks about the stuff Tanel says in that post.
Another one I'll be posting in the chatrooms at work.

I should point out that my posting on AWR is actually the work of Bernard Polarski. He posted it as a comment on one of my earlier rambles and it was so good it had to become a post itself.
That is another great thing about blogs, not just what the blogger puts but the other good stuff that can come after as comments. Bernard does not have his own blog but his comments on other blogs adds to the whole community support world.

Agreed, but I thought you explained that very clearly in your post, so decided to let people read it there.
I must say, I'm looking forward to Christmas (as usual) once the preparation rush is over. Hope you have a good one too and I expect I'll be seeing you in the not too distant future.
