Feb 16: Miracle Scotland Database Forum 2007

Now if this doesn't look like one of the best Oracle Conferences of all time, I don't know what is, and I'm not exaggerating.

I'm biased, of course, because I'm looking forward to seeing quite a few friends be able to enjoy the unique atmosphere and benefits of the place I call home. (The Castle, that is ;-)) I know that as a Miracle event organised by Thomas Presslie, it will have great presentations and it's own unique quality.

Do yourself a favour and book your place - it's going to be a lot of fun as well as seriously educational and a good chance to meet some very smart people in pleasant surroundings. I'll be there too! (I'm still a little bit confused, though, is this the very last MSDBF, the very first or just an average one in the middle somewhere?)

I can't make any promises about the weather, but I think Alex G should find it positively tropical.

It's a small shame that Tom Kyte can't make it as originally planned, but I'm sure Thomas will be badgering him about future events ;-)

...positively tropical.
Even if it's not, there is always a way to warm up. ;-)

End of May in Scotland? That's tropical weather for us. We don't, of course, feel the cold in the winter either ;-)

Cold? COLD??!?

Let me tell you about cold, young man ...

"Young man!" That's very complimentary of you Sir Douglas! So I'll return the compliment to you as you're NOT a bitter and twisted old git! Oh well, back to digging and putting a fence up in the garden in the sunshine... /Sigh/

I of course expect suitable transportation on my birthday Doug :-) Maybe you can also arrange a drivers-hat while driving us alcoholists around? :-)

Yes, I found it somewhat suspicious that I'd been invited to speak at such an auspicious event when I realised that as probably the only non-Whisky drinker in attendance, my presentation skills may not be the key here!

Looking forward to seeing you again ... ;-)

well ... you won't be the only non-whisky drinker ;-)

It's a minor source of frustration to me that you can't just paste a Hypertext link into the comments form here but, should you ever want to include a link, all you need to do is use the BBCode format, as mentioned below the comment form.

Here is a link to the relevant part of the document that explains how.

Disclaimer

For the avoidance of any doubt, all views expressed here are my own and not those of past or current employers, clients, friends, Oracle Corporation, my Mum or, indeed, Flatcat. If you want to sue someone, I suggest you pick on Tigger, but I hope you have a good lawyer. Frankly, I doubt any of the former agree with my views or would want to be associated with them in any way.
