Stupid statement, given that we had very little contact in the past 20 years, but we had plenty before that that I'm thankful for (you changed my world, man) and I know a true original and a special person. I'm glad so many others do, too and, although you might take the p*ss out of it if you were here, I know you'd be pleased secretly.
Let's hope we were both wrong about after-lives and all that but, whatever happens, you left your mark in a big way. I just wish it had been less painful for you (at times).
Too upset to do you justice yet.
Sob, sob!

About ten years ago, I created a website called the ZX Golden Years (which someone has been kindly hosting for me at http://zxgoldenyears.net ever since I lost enthusiasm for it). You kindly answered a few emailed questions for me, as did Joffa Smith.
Anyway, long story short, I just learnt the news about Joff. Terribly sad. He helped me out a great deal with the site, and emailed me few times with words of encouragement. I understand he was involved in the Spectrum forums until his death, so it's nice that other people got to hear his stories. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.
It may comfort you to know that Jof's sister has obviously read the interview you did with him (she mentioned the pictures of us both on there). She's becoming more and more aware of how much he was appreciated and I'm sure that's helping her through a very difficult time, so you've played your part in that.
Cheers,
Doug
